Roadside Assistance FAQs

Roadside assistance is separate from your Direct Auto policy, so it won’t raise your insurance rate. It may actually lower your premium by qualifying you for a multi-product discount, depending on your state.

Members get up to five service calls within a twelve-month period. If you need help beyond that, we’ll still be here to assist you, but charges will apply for additional service.

Towing includes up to fifteen miles at no extra cost. If you need to go further, additional mileage is available and will be negotiated before sending a service vehicle. Any extra mileage fees are to be paid directly to the service provider at the time of service.

Nope! Roadside assistance is not insurance, so there are no claims to file or reimbursements to wait for. All your plan’s services are included with your membership.

You can purchase a roadside assistance membership either online or with an agent when you first get car insurance with Direct Auto. If you’re a current customer, an agent can add roadside to your policy at renewal.

If you are a Direct Auto policyholder without a roadside membership, you can still request assistance. We will help you find roadside help and provide a price for the service.
